Wilanow Palace is one of the most enduring cultural landmarks in Poland since it has survived the wrath of World War I and World War II.

It is located in the thriving area of Wilanow. Tourists can visit the place by riding sixteen, one hundred thirty and one hundred eighty buses from Warsaw.

The palace is a unique combination of European building techniques and Polish art. But the original facade was inspired from classical Italian than any other type of design.

Wilanow was built in seventeenth century for King John III by architect Agostino Lotti. After King John’s death, the ownership of this majestic home passed to different groups, which added their own flair to the structure.

The museum portion of Wilanow was created by Mr. Stanislaw Kostka Potocki in 1805. Damages from the second World War closed the facility until 1962.

Tickets for the palace tour costs €6.24. The park costs €1.6. It is open on Thursday. Reservations are required for tour groups that have a lot of members.

Wilanow is open everyday except on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. To 4:00 p.m. During the summer months, the palace is open until 6:00 p.m. On Wednesday. In the weekends, it is open until 7:00 in the evening.
